This format offers time flexibility, freedom, and convenience by working part of the time or all of the time online from anywhere. The learners develop or enhance skills in time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving. They have more time to reflect and refer to relevant course and other research materials when working and writing online than when responding in class. Asynchronous feedback enables more frequent feedback from their instructors who can be reached at all times.
Social engagement is incorporated into a course or series of courses by setting both learning and social action goals. The project asks students to apply course content to community-based activities. This gives students experiential opportunities to learn in real-world contexts and develop skills of social engagement including cognitive input. Combining actions and variables allows you to create learning situations that reflect a range of realistic interactions, decision-making and randomized events in a social format.
Interactive learning activities provide a range of customizable actions that can happen in response to a learner’s input of his learning activity. You can use actions to display pop-up windows, navigate with buttons, play audio and video, display question feedback, show and hide objects/images, just to name some of the endless possibilities to enhance learning materials. This engages the learner in the activities and creating an effective learning experience.
